Price charged was over double the quoted price , was offered very little in compensation and I rejected it . The only bad experience we had on our family vacation. Oh and no electric door locks or windows , oh and free GPS which neither vehicle had , bad bad bad bad experience

No Customer Service

No customer service. We may have dodged a bullet now reading the previous reviews. Luckily we never got our hire car from this company. We arrived in Toronto airport and travelled to the destination to pick up our car and only had a telephone at the bottom of the escalators where they told us that someone had crashed our car and there was no more cars. Accidents happen but the customer service received was pitiful. We had no means of transport, and they suggested we get a hotel until the next day when they could have our car ready! Or get a cab! Great!! We managed to travel back to the airport and get another car in the end but no help from this company!!

I flight very often to Toronto, and I schedule all rent car service with time in advance, but last week of march18-22, but that date I forgot to do so, so I called them for help and those guys did an amazing job finding a car for me on time, in a very professional way, I recommend all my friends and business partners to uses Green motion because they are very flexible and always willing to help

Worst rental experience ever

We rent cars a lot and never have we had such a horrible experience. We presented them with 2 different insurance policies. The first was my husbands ( they don’t accept corporate cards, I guess no one travels for business... this was a business trip) Then I presented mine which my husband is covered on but because his name wasn’t on the card. Because it was Saturday and neither company could be reached they bullied us into accepting their coverage. Total scam. Plus the company is not located anywhere close to the airport, you wait a long time for the shuttle to and from and the shuttle drivers speak terrible English . Even after waiting close to an hour to have them scam us , our car still wasn’t ready. Our car was a piece of *** .. 3 cylinder which I guess that’s what the green stands for. Save yourself some stress and rent from one of the standard companies that have been in business forever.

Very Frustrating First Experience

I had a frustrating first experience with Green Motion. First, I tried to contact the Green Motion some days before the rental service and the attended was rude, saying that I should check my reservation that all the instructions were there. Then on the pickup day. I scheduled to pick up at 8 am, and I arrived at the location Viscount station. at 7:50 am I contacted them as the instructions in the reservation. Nobody got the call, and I kept trying until 8:40 am (40 minutes waiting), then the attendant said that my reservation was for 9 am on their system. I said ok, so could you come to pick up? He said: Yes, but only at 9 am. I was so disappointed but I can not cancel. So I waited, and they arrived to pick up me and some other customer only at 9:40 am. And finally, I was able to get the car. But, there is more. On the return day, I checked on the internet to confirm what was the time the Green Motion opens so I would like to return the car in the morning because I had to work. Green motion store opens at 8 am, so I went and arrived at 7:50 am, but there was nobody there, and again I tried to contact. The attendant said that they had a problem and he will arrive at 9 am. It was the worst experience that I had with a rental company ever.

Worst car renting experience

First off when i reserved they said they were at the airport. Had to take a shuttle to an off airport location 15 minutes away. They would not accept my insurance and insisted i buy theirs for $30 per day plus a sunpass for tolls anothe $13. Per day. I have been to the same trade show in Orlando many times and always rent a car. Not to mention the 25 othrr csr rentals i make per year all over the world. I finally walked out and called an Uber. For $10 I was at my hotel and never bothered renting at all. Simply used Uber. No parking or toll expenses and had a ride within minutes.

Terrible company

My review is not 1 star !!! Its actually 5 stars below zero!!!!The worst of the worst!!!!!! Do not rent from them!!!! Do not fall for a cheap price because they will take hundreds from you later. Clean up 15 Euro on a rental??? one starch they blamed me for, was worth to them 400 Euro. They refuse to go with you for visual inspection and tell you to do it on your own and if you see something that is not on the sheet to come back and tell them about it. Car full of scratches to begin with and you are supposed to find one that is not on a condition sheet in a dark underground garage? On the other hand they do their inspection in full sun and of course, luckily for them they find the one that was not there before. Disgusting tactics of running the business and cheating customers. Beware!!!!! Rent from big players and you will avoid frustration. Tragic.!!!!

Unauthorized deposit taken

They were to only take $500.00 on hold, but they literally charged it to my credit card. They said that after 15-20 business days I would get it back if there were no tickets. Well, two months later I still have not gotten it back. They also sent an invoice for another $160.00. They have now had everything frozen and the Britain main office is now taking care of things. I can't phone or leave a message. Their phone mailbox is full and nobody answers the phone. Now I have the credit card company taking care of matters because the British main office sent a letter stating that the $500.00 was taken authorized and I am to contact the credit card company about this matter. I am still waiting for this matter to get resolved.

Rude customer service

I'm never again going to rent a car with your company. First of all, the car was unclean. There was dirt everywhere (the dash, cup holder and console). The car was running fine until it started snowing in Toronto. The car got stuck twice on the road. There was no traction as I was driving on the highway. All this happened because of the cheap Chinese tires that your car had. I work for a tire company in Canada and have never heard this tire company. When I returned the car on Monday, I told Ryan (Counter Staff) about my experience. To which he said rental companies don't want to invest in good tires as they are expensive. He then questioned my driving by saying,"I drive a 1999 Honda Civic and have had no problems. You don't know how to drive". This is absolutely nonsense. You can get a good set of tires for $200. Ryan was so rude and unapologetic. Questioning my driving experience? Is this how you treat your customers? Totally uncalled for. Ryan to fix his attitude. Worst experience of my life. Never again am I recommending your company to family and friends. Also, putting my review on social media. Thanks. Dinesh

Bed experience by renting from Green Motion Toronto

My experience of renting from Green motion Toronto, I will describe it a horrible full of trouble and crude, don't get attracted with their ow rates, Now in Toronto there any other competitor you can get the same rate from them, But believe me not to rent from them. For local rental when you book it says no km limit but when you are at the office to pick up the car and sign the agreement they write by pen allowed km 100, that is misleading for renters, and if you refuse to accept they wont give you the car and as per booking they put for you as no show and they have no refund policy so you are bond to take the car with low km allowed and when you return they charge you 50 cent /km much higher than other car rentals. They hold your deposit in there account and get interest where as you pay interest on your credit, They hold your deposit for 30 days unofficially it has no where written on there agreement, My possible peoples with long credit card payment entries on statement if over look may never get there deposit, who knows.

These indian guys are a fraud... I have hired cars from different companies all over the world i have not see one as bad as Greenmotion located at 7 Kelfield st. Toronto ON. Canada. The service is extremely poor and the staff are pathetic liars. I was quoted a different price and was billed something completely different. Despite the fact that the displayed cost for the GPS showed CAD9.99 for the duration of the rental i was charged close to CAD40.00 for 3 day rental. I was given a partially filled tank and the girl who served me confirmed this but she wrote full tank. Upon returning the car she refused confirming she told me the car was partially full. Her lying was so obvious as she would not look at me throughout my stay in the office. The cars are dirty and dented. I was initially given a car with rusted bonnet but for my refusal. This company is definitely a no go in the future. The guys there are frauds and extortioner

Rented a car from the Toronto office, the didn't have more than 1 SUV (Which was rented out) so we had to have a different car. Then the staff accused me of trying to "pull a fast one" when I called to query about adding glass insurance to our rental, they have since held on to our pre-authorised excess deposit for 2 weeks after the car was returned AND having finally got confirmation that that has been returned have now issued me with an invoice for £358 despite me paying in full upfront. Oh yeah and the best bit - they issued us with a structurally unsafe car as the windscreen had previously been replaced with a screen from a previous model in 2014 and the car was built 2015!! Unbelievable. Also you cannot contact ANYONE. finally managed to correspond with them through email but it is like pulling teeth.

Administration fee exessive

CAD 79 was the price for toll using highway 407 in summer 2016 after renting a car for 3 weeks at green motion carrental. But my credit card was charged CAD 429,23 . It is the administration fee that raises the price more than 5 times. It's incredible that it is possible to take such a high administration fee. I've not found out how this is possible. Either the turists are deliberately cheated or the canadians tolerate a practice that should be punished. I wish I could have like there is in Norway a consumer's organisation to protest against such abuses and stop them.

The green motion car rental are most terrible and inconsiderate, inconsistent car companies we have came a cross with. We booked the car for 2 weeks in Canada. We paid from 2 pm onwards for 2 weeks . Arrived at areoport no official office, we contact them as per contract and spoke to someone who called Adam which did not have a clue at all after awhile he just realised that our car was given away but not sure how , when, and why. Did not have any plan, we have paid in full, and and our booking and reservation was confirmed pre week. We were given complaint reference number and with that we were supposed just to get to our hotel with 2 young chiller and 5 suitcases. There was no number for taxis so we had to call green motion to give us some help and if they could book us us taxi, which they did after a long wAite. We got to hotel and we call them on the next morning to see what they are going to do. Which they said they still do not have a car for us and they will try to get from other companies. We still waiting to hear from them so far they maid us feel very vulnerable and insecure at the new place with young children with no support they have ruined my Holliday which was supposed to be my lifetime Holliday I feel strongly angry and I am telling all the travelers not to use green motion ever they will ruin your Holliday

Downgraded and charged my credit card double the amount

My experience with them in Toronto was terrible 1- The booking was originally for a Ford Taurus, however when I arrived the lady at the counter gave me a Toyota Corolla mentioning that they do not even offer Ford Taurus, she said the best she can do is offer a 50 CAD dollars discount, I had to accept it as I needed the car for a long drive and I didn’t have another option on the arrival date 2- When I returned the car, I had to return it 4 am as my flight was quite early, however I found that my credit card was Charged 797 CAD instead of 400.27 (as agreed), when I called the company they mentioned wheel covers were missing, they said they will send proof however that was on 26-November. Since then I contacted them more than 6 times,they said they have prove for it. However they did not send any of the details or any proof that there is anything missing they attract you with low prices and then you are stuck in trying to defend yourself with any claim they can have against. Please do not use them
